I am wanting this thread to be a place to get answers to your 3D needs. I myself have to look so many places to get answers to questions or problems concerning 3D printing which is very irritating to say the least. Please feel free to post anything related to 3D printing including your projects you would like to showcase and share. If you have any tips and tricks to share by all means post them.

Hiya!, everyone this is Marathonman and I just wanted to post my newest addition to my flock. On the right below is an Ender 3 Neo I just purchased. The one on the left is an Ender 3 pro that at this moment is being rebuilt to handle 500 C printing with lots of upgrades including a ruby nozzle, Spider Hot end and direct drive. It will allow me to print NylonX and a whole other slew of things I could not print before. I already have an upgraded silent board that will gladly find a new home in this Ender 3 pro.
At present I am printing the cradles for my 60280 cells for my 48 volt 57 ah battery build all 8 of them that will go in my four wheeled buggy. I am presently using 5.3.0 UltiMaker Cura and I simply love it.
Below is my printed case that houses my Raspberyy Pi4 print server I will be implementing along with my HD camera. What a lot of people do not realize is a router can still be used if not connected to the net. It can still be used for local networking of all your nifty gadgets which i am in the process of. Creating a local setup is easy which includes wireless also allowing me to observe my 3D printing while in the garden with my cell phone. If I need Internet access all I do is hook my phone to the system with USB tethering. The router is set up where everything has a static routing number so nothing changes ever. I can even attach a network hard drive for all my backup needs all without internet lol how cool is that knowing no one can ruin my parade hehehe!

Ender 3 Neo is dead and will not print or even touch the bed. I just LOVE Creality's QA, I see they are really on top of things. Now it's RMS time as I refuse to work on a 200 dollar device that is suppose to work. I am packing it up and hopefully get one this time that will work or stay working enough to print. I have two reels of ABS and a reel of TPU just dying to be used. So that means my 60280 cradles are on hold lol!

Creality is sending me another BL Touch as the think the one on the Neo is dead. Sad day in QA land knowing this got through them. What makes me sad is I have to work on a brand new 3 D printer that in reality should be worry free. So for now I have a 200 dollar paper weight lol! Other 3 D printer is being rebuilt for 500 degree printing beast. Can you say Nylon X.

Received my upgrade goodies today, I am drooling on this direct drive and spider hot end. The 50 watt hot end heater will be in shortly as will a few others. I will be removing the hot end on the direct drive and replacing with the Spider hot and taking me to 500C. Darn Ruby nozzles are expensive.

Well it looks like I might have to sue Creality. I bought the Ender 3 Neo and received it non working. After some BS marry-go-round emails it seems they are stalling to get past the 14 day refund. They want to send me a new BLTouch thinking the one on the Neo is bad. I should not have to work on a so called new product to get it to work. I have emailed them repeatedly over the last week to no response which i informed them they have three days to respond before I file against them. Still with no response they leave me no choice but to sue them.
Creality has been notified of my intended Lawsuit against them and I want to publicly shame them in the worst possible way for their pathetic actions. Grow some balls Creality and man up to your products!

Kick ass!, I assembled the hot end inside of the direct drive unit replacing Creality's hot end with the 500 C Spider hot end. The 50 watt 24v heater cartridge is on it's way yet I was like a kid in a candy store so I installed the stock heater cartridge and hot end with a little mod and fired that baby up. The first couple of prints, well they sucked. I then bumped up the nozzle temp to 245 C with better results yet not again as good as it should be. In the end I ended up at 248 C and the print is fabulous.
The ABS I am using is 1.75mm 1kg E Sun Filament from MatterHackers purchasing two roles. Right now I am printing the 60280 cradles for my 57 ah cells. This is the first time i have printed with ABS and found that heat is the key here. My bed temps are at 100 C and printing well. The previous failure was a few layers and I be darn if I can ever remotely think about breaking it. Good god this ABS is so strong i think my 60280 cells just found a good home lol!
Funny how a few degrees makes all the difference because at 240 C nozzle and 90 C bed temp it would not even stick to the glass bed. So now at 248 C and 100 C bed temp it seems to be smooth sailing even without a slurry added to the bed, lucky me!. Can't wait till the 50 watt'er comes in Now if I could just upgrade the sorry ass warping beds Creality seems to push on people. If I found a 1/4 inch thick heater bed I would be in heaven.
I will post a pic once finished.
PS. Raspberry Pi 4 giving me hell so hopefully that will be squared away soon so I can remotely monitor from outside the house. Also need to print a longer nozzle cooling fan housing that is longer but then again who cares as ABS needs no cooling for best results lol!

Well hell 1/4 done there of lol! I think it will be done in four more hours ugh! next time I print at double the speed upping the temp to 250C. I wonder if an insulated heater bed would work out fine Hummm!

Ha,Ha,Ha!, I got scorned by ABS letting me know i was NOT in charge lol!. Just after posting the above pic the corners started pealing up. I stopped the print, lined the bed with Kapton tape then washed the bed with an ABS slurry and acetone. Print now stuck as it should. So hilarious thinking a could get away with it. I will post the print when done.

Well it looks like I will let Creality off the hook this time only. The Bl touch came in and I called a friend of mine that knows more about 3D printing than I do. I was there when he opened up the control box and witnessed the BS in front of us. There were multiple loose wires on the control board and even the control board screws were not even tight. Seems someone at Crealities factory was hung over, on drugs, his wife/Husband did not get any the night before or just plain did not give a shit that day. Inspecting the whole damn thing, tightening up all the screws and then installing the new BL Touch we fired it up. I'll be damn the thing actually worked.
Prepping the printer then setting for a print, I sliced a "river in the woods" model then printed it. It seems that did the trick as it is printing so well and I can not even here it print except for the power supply fan. I did the same thing with the bed prep with Kapton tape and an ABS slurry. Seems my friend is a better QA than what Creality has lol!
So now both printers are printing with ABS and it is hot as hell in my room, ha,ha,ha! I will take that then no printer at all. I will still give Creality hell as they deserve it for their BS. I prefer to deal with Ma and Pa shops because the service and quality is much better. Plus I like to spend my money on the local community if I can.
I will post pics when done.

Here are two 60280 cell holders printed, the nearest one is cracked being to tight so I increased the dimensions by 1% which was perfect. Now all I need is 7 more and I am home free then can build the battery pack for my buggy. 48 volt 57 amp hour when finished.I have the 48 volt BMS from Overkill Solar and I like the fact that they are tested before shipment. I will be using Anderson plugs on the charger and the battery pack. I have been looking at Kelly controllers, seems these are better quality then the bs one i bought. only time will tell.

Printed this for a friend of mine daughter and she went ape shit for it. I will frame it with the water backed by light blue paper and the rest bright white paper.
This is called "River in the Woods".
PS. 50 watt heater will be in tomorrow as well as other goodies. Can't wait to try out Nylon X.

The rest of the 60280 build will be L-ion build section as to minimize back and fourth confusion.

This was printed on very low quality just to test out the new Spider hot end. I plan on upgrading to a way more powerful 32 bit board just not Creality's boards. More then likely the SKR Mini E3 which blows away Creality boards easily. The Creality board I have now is stock and so freaking noisy I can't think. The Neo is quiet though.
The print is called "Mother and Son"
Once all the upgrades are in place I will do a comparison between the two.

Well I have just figured out why in hell my print server refused to boot. Seems the darn thing was set for USB boot. I was going to introduce it to "Mr hammer" until I hooked it up to my 4K TV realizing this . I have an SD to USB adapter for the micro card and viola, it booted right up. So now I have two Ender printers tied to the Pi 4b Octopi print server which is connected to an Asus router. My computer is connected to the router wirelessly as is Cura so now I have full access to both printers and my Octopi print server.
Even though the Asus router is not internet connected it still hands out the routing and IP addresses. So with my printer network in place I can now print with no SD cards in the printer. Plus I have a USB hard drive used for back up for my printer and the printer network with a USB web cam to monitor both printers. I can now log on to my printer network in the garden outside making sure I have no spaghetti surprise when i check on it later lol!
Also I have static IP addresses set for my computer and the print server so they never change. The Asus router was purchased used and was reconditioned with it working just perfect with one hell of a discount. All in all I am very pleased with the set up I have with other additions coming soon. My upgrades for the Ender 3 pro is a 500C spider replacing a Direct drive 260 C hot end, A 50 watt heater and temp sensor, A cast Aluminum heater bed from GCR rated at 250 watts never to deal with a factory warped bed ever again (Sorry ass cheap Creality). An SKR 3 mini V3 32 bit board with a filament sensor, new heavy duty bed springs and a new TFT touch screen to boot.
All in all my 500C beast is shaping up nicely and will purr with a Borosilicate glass bed rated at 450C. I can now print anything I would ever need or friends needs lol! I think I will connect my SuperMicro 8 core Atom server to the internet through PF Sense firewall that way I can still update everything yet be safe from prying eyes.
PS. Working on updating all the firmware to the newest Marlin and Creality source code for my ender Neo then once I am done I will turn my attention to Figuera once again. I might as well do Bigtreetech mini also right.
