Well it looks like the 24 volt battery build is on hold, seems the BMS if faulty and will not balance the third channel. I ordered another from Overkill Solar the cheapest one they had with 5mm standoff connections.

Well finished the first group of cell holders and mounted cells. Now I have three more to go for 48 volt 57 ah. Then I can install my bus bars which are way overkill owning to the fact that the buss bars can handle over 300 amps and the cells are capable of 110 amp. Now I just hope the BMS can keep up lol! These cells are capable of melting the terminals right off, just don't ask why I know that.

Well got number two set done so all I need is two more to go. I think it is looking good and the cradles are doing great now that I enlarged it 1%. Tomorow is work day so over the next few nothing will get done. Besides my Mouser electronics came in so it is test board assembly time.

Is that build quality or what!? Each nickel trace handles 10a with a total of 60a but not if the wire were directly attached so I added an Aluminum bar thus attaching my positive and BMS negative to that. I think this battery will last a long time my friends and some lucky kid will be smiling for a long time as he/she goes ripping down the road.
That's how I roll lol!

Man this is going to be one great battery build and one fast buggy. I will glue the cradles together then build a plexiglass enclosure to show off these bad boys. The enclosure will have a very sturdy handle of course. Both 3 D printers are ripping well now.

Received the new 24 volt BMS and installed, seems that did the trick as the cells are nice and balanced. Still waiting on the damn vinyl shrink wrap that seems to be non existent here in the US. So F-in sick of this BS covid lie. I will be assembling the 24 volt system for testing. I have the hall throttle and the 24 volt BMac with built in controller just begging to be used. I am still thinking I will jump on the Kelly controller for my 48 volt system They seem to be much better quality then the cheap Vevor BS brand. IF the motor or controller die I will definitely go for the Kelly.
Battery is complete just waiting for shrink wrap. As for the 48 volt system with the 60280 cells, well I think I will build an Plexiglass or Acrylic box to house and showcase the cells. Damn thing weighs 60 lbs lol! Received my SB Anderson connectors installing one to see how it will fit and look. Seems it will be just great for the 48 volt system, what you think ?
Since these cells are capable of some serious discharge 110 amp continuous, dead short probably 800 amp, I think it would be wise to install an inline fuse.

Hallelujah!, The vinyl shrink wrap for my 24 volt battery came in at Batteryhookup. Just ordered along with other items and will be glad to finally finish this darn build.
Man I tell you this stuff is rare as a talking goat lol!

More good news; One of the members on DIY Solar Forum had a very large build using the 60280 cells I have for my buggy build. Since I had an accident with one cell (Bus bar issue) I an in need of one cell. The builder contacted me stating he had extras which is good for me. I had already contacted a few companies yet was told all they had was used cells. So long story short I will purchase a cell or two from him and will finally move forward completing my 48v 57 ah battery build. I honestly wished I had purchase the Kokam 85ah cells when Batterhookup had them. They are the best by far of any cell I have ever seen and would of lasted longer than my life I have left on this planet lol! I am happy with the 60280 cells as they are most definitely visually stunning!

I am so glad I was able to finish the 24 volt battery. Batteryhookup finally received the vinyl blue wrap i needed. All in all it turned out well with an amazing BMS to boot. I assembled the system, Motor, hall sensor throttle, battery and charger together and I have to say some kid will be damn lucky to receive this in their buggy. Dense foam padding and two layers of blue shrink gives this thing a nice look. The bump is the BMS with the blue tooth light shining through when connected.
24 volt 34.2ah with each cell spot welded 8 times and both ends have aluminum bar attached for good amp flow. Then to top it off 80 amp BMS With 10 awg noodle soft silicon wire. I am in love lol!
